About the project
Moriarty is a web platform that makes France's 2,000+ public funding schemes genuinely accessible to businesses. From a simple SIREN number, it instantly identifies the relevant schemes (R&D Tax Credit, Young Innovative Company status, BpiFrance grants, Overseas aids, payroll exemptions, SME grants) and estimates the amount recoverable.
Beyond detection, the platform centralises documents, automates compliance checks, and a team of expert tax specialists manages exchanges with funding bodies through to payment of the funds.

Conception
Public funding for businesses exists in abundance, but accessing it is often a punishing journey. Moriarty set out to reverse that dynamic.
Zetos worked on three successive versions of the product (V0, V1, V2), unpacking complex administrative rules and turning them into simple questions and linear journeys. With each iteration, eligibility logic was refined and AI took on a growing share of application file generation.
Design
Clarity and pedagogy were the two values guiding every visual decision. On Figma, interfaces were iterated version after version with field feedback, with particular attention paid to the readability of administrative data — funding categories, amounts, conditions, deadlines. The journey from simulation through to application submission was treated as a funnel where every step had to be disambiguated.
Development
Moriarty's backend is as complex as its promise is simple. Zetos built the platform in Python/FastAPI with PostgreSQL, Redis for performance, and an AWS infrastructure, integrating an eligibility simulator, an AI application file generator, an e-signature module and a Stripe integration, all delivered across three successive major versions.
