Conception
Making personal investment accessible to non-expert profiles is the challenge that framed the whole design effort. The point was not to oversimplify but to structure educational journeys able to walk a user from a diagnosis of their financial situation through to a recommendation.
Design
Financial information is dense. Making it readable to someone who does not master the vocabulary of investing required serious work on visual hierarchy, interactions and progressive disclosure of data.
The interfaces were designed to adapt to different levels of expertise: a first-time investor and an experienced user don't read the same dashboard the same way.
Development
Zetos developed the platform on mobile and desktop with an architecture designed for the reliability of financial data in real time.
The wealth simulator at the heart of the product runs on a robust backend able to personalise recommendations on the fly with no perceptible latency for the user.
Technologies used
Optivest relies on React.js on the frontend and a robust PHP/Laravel backend, with MySQL and Redis for data, all hosted on AWS.
